Meet Lina Rodriguez LPC Assoicate #87952
Hello, my name is Lina, I earned my Bachelor’s degree from the University of North Texas in Psychology with a minor in Counseling in 2018. I also completed my Master’s degree in Counseling at the University of North Texas with a specialty in Play Therapy in 2021. I am currently pursuing my Doctorate in counseling at the University of North Texas specializing in Play Therapy. What can I say I love UNT! I am an LPC-Associate #87952 and currently working towards my License as a Professional Counselor under the supervision of Mariah J. Tailleur, LPC-Supervisor #6663 as well as working towards becoming a Registered Play Therapist. I have previous experience with individual and group counseling with children 3+, teens, and adults through a non-profit agency working with survivors of domestic and sexual abuse.
I believe that the therapeutic relationship is the main building block towards client growth. By creating an open and safe environment, clients can feel free to communicate their emotions and experience without a fear of being rejected. I am passionate about Play Therapy and working with children. I believe that children are resilient and capable of growth, through showing the child unconditional love and acceptance, and allowing freedom for the child to fully express themselves on their journey towards healing.
