Meet Kate, LPC

Kate MeyerThe therapeutic relationship offers a unique space for individuals and families to connect with their own growth process. I am honored to join my clients in exploring how to create space for the life they want to live. Together we aim to expand the natural change process of life toward one defined by growth and wellness.

I am LPC #85040 in the state of Texas. At Keller Child and Family Therapy, my hope is to work as a team with my clients to collaboratively explore, learn about, and implement strategies that access natural strengths and wisdom enriched by the vast array of knowledge and research the field has to offer.

I began my work in the field in the early 2000s in a Title I elementary school as a volunteer mentor. I hold a BS in psychology from Texas A&M University and a BS in mathematics from Texas Woman’s University. I graduated with a master’s from the University of Oregon in counseling, family and human services with a specialization in couples and family therapy. In the course of my career, I have worked with individuals and families across many settings- from inpatient care to outpatient care in the home, school, and office environments.

My family and friends fill my heart outside of work. We enjoy long conversations, laughing, and exploring the arts together. I also enjoy reading and being active outdoors.
