Meet Kayelyn

Kayelyn, a licensed professional counselor focusing on play therapy at Keller Child & Family Therapy
Hello and welcome! I’m Kayelyn, and I’m so glad you’re here. Feelings can be complicated, sometimes overwhelming, and knowing what to do with them isn’t always easy. In my practice, I’m here to help individuals and families build a deeper understanding of their emotions to create more gentle, caring relationships with themselves and others.
With greater awareness of our emotions, we’re better able to build self-confidence, communicate openly, manage stress, and strengthen the connections that mean the most to us. Each of us is born as a deeply feeling, social being, always seeking belonging and connection. Sometimes, though, our emotions can become confusing, hidden, or intense, which can affect how we feel about ourselves and interact with those we care about.
To help, I draw on Emotion-Focused and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy techniques, alongside an attachment-based perspective. These approaches encourage exploring and accepting emotions and thoughts, even the uncomfortable ones. By gently facing difficult feelings and recognizing their roots, we can grow more resilient, compassionate, and connected.
I work with individuals, teens, children, and parents, guiding each person toward a place where they can feel safe exploring their inner world. Together, we’ll create a space that supports open, caring, and secure relationships—with ourselves and with others.
If you’re feeling unsure of where to start, know that you don’t have to go it alone. I’m here to help you take that first step.
