Meet Seoyoung

It can be very difficult to watch your child go through behavioral and/or emotional issues such as anger management and low self-esteem. Experiencing these as a parent can make you feel lonely and helpless. Play Therapy and counseling can provide a safe space for you and your child to have someone to openly share and express your genuine feelings and concerns.

I believe that each and every person has the full potential to grow in ways that are both congruent and constructive to oneself and to the world. Experiencing unconditional acceptance, genuineness, and empathy through counseling can help your child process their world and feel empowered to advance in their life.

I’m an LPC Associate #89843 and am currently working towards my license as a Professional Counselor as well as a Registered Play Therapist under the supervision of Mariah J. Tailleur, LPC-Supervisor #6663.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at the University of Texas at Austin and received my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in Play Therapy at the University of North Texas. I have experience working at a non-profit organization for survivors of domestic violence and sexual abuse. Within the agency, I have provided individual play therapy for children the age of 3 or older, activity therapy for teenagers, as well as a psychoeducational group and parenting group for adult clients who have been through interpersonal trauma.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions about me or my counseling approach! Looking forward to meeting you!
